I was a Horrible with a capital H math student throughout school. I can vividly remember being flustered by math in grades as young as first grade as my teacher tried to teach us to count money and I seemed to be missing the point of how these inanimate objects could have value and numbers [...] My 3 1/2 year old daughter has been learning to write her name.
