Congratulations to our friends and proud parents Alisa & Jon and their son Evan. They just welcomed a daughter, Karen Jeanne to their family on Wednesday, October 22nd, weighing in at 7lbs, 1oz.
Both mother and daughter are home and well.

I’ve been re-reading Confessions of a Slacker Mom. This is a short little light narrative read that my mother in law gave me shortly after Catherine’s birth. I think her reasoning was to point out to me that parenting could be much simpler or much more difficult depending on the path I chose.
I definitely have to file this under the “What Were They Thinking?” category. A mother in Wisconsin stole her teenage daughter’s identity, attended high school and joined the cheerleading squad. The woman claimed she was making up for the childhood she never had.
